Well, I've been seeing many ripoffs and awful lost episodes here. This wiki is basically for any type of creepypasta, but mostly for lost episodes. I'm not trying to prevent anything, but help with skills. I'm not that good at writing lost episodes myself, as I follow my own critique, making it hard not to use cliches, as most stuff I can think of are cliches. All you need to know is a good amount of the cliches, have good writing skills, and courage.
How to Write a Lost Episode[]
Lost episodes are probably the hardest type of creepypasta to write in my opinion. Most of them that barely make it to scary have tons of cliches, while most of those avoiding all of the cliches are usually not scary. I'm gonna explain the cliches of a lost episode, how to write one, what not to do, and what to do.
Cliches[]
Creepy Cliches will explain some of the cliches. Go down to lost episode cliches to learn. This may help you with other stuff as well.
That's all you need to know for cliches.
How to Write a Lost Episode[]
Damn, I keep using this phrase. In order to write a lost episode, certain requirements must be met. A great and scary lost episode that I don't want to say actually scared me and got me paranoid for a fucking year. That's the longest time I was paranoid of one specific thing.
Anyway, back to the chase. You'll need expert writing skills, knowledge of all cliches, creepypasta experience, and a creative TV show idea. Most people only choose Spongebob because that's one of the most popular TV shows out there. Choose an under-rated show that would seem good. Do not do any meme shows unless you got a good story for it. All you need to do is think of a good story. I myself lack writing experience, but that doesn't stop me from making a lost episode. You practice, you learn.
Your first lost episode will most likely fail unless you got somewhat intense writing skills, which is very unlikely nowadays. It's not a curse befalling new writers. You're not gonna get banned if you fail. This is a challenge.
What Not To Do[]
This one is honestly tricky for me to explain, as there are many things.
1. Don't use cliches often.
2. Never mention other lost episodes in your pasta.
3. Spongebob isn't scary.
4. Trolling is wrong.
5. Starting straight at the climax.
There's a lot more, but I can't explain them all. The cliches section explains mostly.
What To Do[]
1. Don't panic.
2. Ignore haters.
3. Take advice from critique.
4. Put your pasta on a blog for rating before actually putting it on the wiki. (Optional)
5. Have fun
